Unlike the other mahjong book, Gemma totally loves this title. Plus they let her write for it. She's the first article and there's a picture of the very first time she learned to play. She looks so young - none of the bitterness and cynicism you get these days.
This isn't a book about how to play as much as it is a book about how professional mahjong players feel about the game, the community and their general life. There's even one article where a girl literally bathes in mahjong tiles. It's weird but worth a read!
It also features an article from Yamai - the first World Riichi Champion and possibly everyone's fave and first crush.
ENJOY!
